Default Glow engine model airplane cleaner.

I just used a new product for the first time, and it is the best thing I have used for cleaning up an oil soaked model airplane. The product is called Sprayway Glass Cleaner.

It foams, and so it clings to vertical surfaces. It wipes off cleanly and takes the oil with it. It leaves no residue or streaks. And it even smells good!

Everyone at our club Christmas party got a free can and I am glad I finally tried it out. I'm going to use it from now on!

Thats all I''ve used for 3 or 4 years, works great! Now, go buy some microfiber rags and use them with the Sprayway to clean your planes.

Bounty paper towels are good and soft too. And mix water and windex 50/50 and it''ll do the job.

Not as classy as the aerosol and microfibre rags, but the airplane winds up clean either way.

Kmot, Thanks for the heads up. I''ve run out of the stuff I was using so will give this a try. Think it''s a little cheaper also. Thanks, Tom

Water and Windex, water and dishwashing liquid, 409, all those sorts of things I have used over the years. None of those cleaners came close to the performance of this Sprayway stuff, in my experience.

...or baby butt wipes! Work great and you don''t have to carry towels and a spray bottle of what ever...

I don''t know where to get it, the can I have was a freebie given away to everyone at my clubs Christmas party. I''m sure if you do a Google search you can find who has it in your area.

I''ll second the baby butt wipes. Found a sealed pack last summer and remembered someone saying that they work well. Tried em out and they are better than any window cleaner that i have come across yet. Plus they are great for cleaning up your hands after working on that oily engine to!!!

LOL!!! I guess baby butt exhaust is indeed a lot more greasy than glow engine exhaust!

It's always easier to understand when things are put into the proper perspective...
