Default Tuned Pipe Leaking

The o-rings for the water cooling on my tuned pipe are leaking.[:@]

I've tried cleaning and then replacing them, i've put new ones in, but they still leak if the header is not perfectly straight in the pipe. With the motor running the pipe has the tendency to move a little from the vibration.

Is there a way to stop this from happening.

is it an ali header? if so has it warped where the rings are? mine did that and leaked i ended up wrapping some thin ali froma beer can round the header to make it a tighter fit.worked a treat but best solution is a stainless header.also try one of those pipe holders that firt on the header to hold the pipe from twisting or moving.

Your pipe has got to be out of alighnment with the header to do that. You also need to be using a rubber covered clamp on the stinger to allow for twisting of the engine under torque. Also the pipe stop Mart is showing makes a big difference![)] Some pics always make a difference, post em! LOL Brian

The pipe stop I have doesn't have the tail piece on it, maybe I can make one up.

Try switching the water lines around , water should always go in through the bottom and exit out the top. When I had mine from the header to the pipe coming in through the top I had a leak , swapped it so the water went in through the bottom came out the top then exited the boat no more leak. Sounds strange but it worked.
