Default which RTR is best

Hello everyone I'm looking for a little advise/help. I want to get a RTR gas boat in the $800 to $1000.00 range. I have had a few gas and nitro boats in the past and would now like to move to gas. I would like to stick with a deep V hull I think as these are the most stable. Also I would like to stay away from places like ebay but am not ruling it out. So I guess what I'm looking for is which RTR package out there people feel is the best which is the fastest? I would like to have a boat that will hit around 40mph or faster if thats possible in this price range. Thanks for all the help guys.

Unless you have someone you know and can trust that you can buy a nice used RTR from, WHH would be your best bet.

Ok so I'm seeing that the enforcer seems to be popular the superG I would guess is the one you recomend. Does anyone know what happened to the super sport model? Also I have seen so RTR boats from aqua craft and Proboat. I guess the aquacraft has Grim racer parts. Anyway are these boats not good or just not as good as the enforcer.

Search the forum for RIO 51 which is a Aquacraft. The RIO is a great hull and very easy to upgrade to better motor and hardware.

I have seen this boat and do like the looks of it what do you think of the pro boat shockwave 55 I had a skockwave 36 and liked it. The 55 has a zanoa engine the same as the enforcer boats I think. Anyway I have seen these boats and wondered how they would compare to the enforcer boats.

The hull quality is not so good from what I have heard on the 55. I have the RIO (2 of them) and I would say after upgrades I spent on each around a thousand or a little more on each, both have Zenoahs a m5 and m6 from whh. Here's a Vid of a M5 in my RIO.

i thought he wanted RTR, if he wants ready to run for under a grand stay away form the Rio atleast until the problems are fixed. i hate to say this but the WHH RTR is going to last a lot longer. if you have your heart set on a RIO i would try to find a cheap haul and build it yourself. AC claims they are RTR but if your new to boating i would stay clear of this boat. Mauian said after the upgrades he spent it came out to about 1k. well let's see boat 700+shipping new stock Zen motor $200+shipping (cheapest i found on the net was bonzi) new pipe and header $140+shipping from aeromarine grand total $1040+shipping oh did i leave out motor mounts $40+shipping =$1080+shipping and your also going to need a new collet $15 from aeromarine $1095+shipping. Just figure that price to make to boat last longer then 2 tanks. now you can make some of your money back if you sell the fuji motor and pipe. If anyone thinks this amount is off let me know. i got this figure w/out using any discounts that some of us get.

oh if your going to sink that kind of money you might as well froke out another $200 bucks and get a RTR aeromarine that will run better then any boat listed above.

Thats about right Jager, but we'll I went further and upgraded the running hardware which are all Speedmaster and WHH turnfins. So couple more hundred bucks or more, so 1095 + say 300 to round her off....geez never knew I spent that much...$1395.00 dang and I have 2 so.....$$$$$$$ well spent because I love this hull and plan to keep them for awhile...oh wait have to get rid of a RIO hull thats gonna be all bare, have a MTI on the way....lol.

You can still get the SS. Tony will make it. I just had him do the M5 mod to it and it hauls. I added the lid this year for a more realistic look. Runs about 50 mph.
