Any advice would be great since I have like 2 & 1/2 hours to decide lol.

Between those I would go with the 4-Tec just because I love traxxas and it goes 70 mph. Although I like HPI as well and would like a kit. But if it really came down to it I would get this:

All you need is a radio system and your ready to go.
That is a very very very good price for a 1/5 scale. These run on petrol too. The engines are VERY easy to tune (I didn't even need to tune mine). Gas is cheaper and longer run times.
Overall that is pretty sweet your dad just said let's get you a R/C. I have to buy all my stuff on my own...

The RS4 by far. The 4 tec is a pathetic excuse of a nitro on road, it can't handle to save its life. As usual, its popular only due to advertising and big numbers on the box. Check out the on road nitro forum, they'll back this up with more info.

Say it isn't so!!!!!! Pay attention ladies and gentlemen......
I'm still trying to figure out whyyyyy people look at top speed as being some kind of huge factor in purchasing a vehicle..... One of the more fun R/C's I had did a whopping 10-15 mph. But it did it with style... (Need to buy another Clodbuster and trick it out with some CPE goodness....)
70+mph into a curb near you....

Another vote for HPI, their product is very nice.
I have an old electric RS4 Pro3 (I think that is the model, I bought it used) that I would love to find parts for. I don't think I could ever get rid of that thing, even if it has tons of early 90s purple anodized aluminum

I definitely prefer HPI's quality over Traxxas's big numbers. 70+ MPH isn't much good if it can't even handle that speed.
