Tigercat Designer and planes info needed
Can anyone tell me who may have designed this F7F so that I can look for plans?
I am going to be making this plane flight ready with retracts and am just looking to see if I can find plans to use as a guide for some of the retract structure fabrication. It has fixed gear as of now.
The wing is foam and approx 73" and the fuselage is all balsa and ply as are the nacelles. The fuselage was built in two halves split vertically and is sheeting using the planking method. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

A friend of mine was just given one of these that is rough rough shape. We thought about posting about it, but figured it was not worth it. the wing is sheeted in Obeche on his. the fuse and nacelles are built up and planked. The cowls are built up wood as well.
We have no clue what the kit is. I assumed it was European since the wings are sheeted in Obeche.

Possibly an Aerotech kit? That would be the Aerotech out of the UK, and not Siewart's company here in the USA. They did a bunch of warbird kits about this size and all had Obechi covered foam wings.

You may have a R/C Kits F7F. A lot of planking for the fuse and designed
for 2x60's. I think Bob Campbell ( could be Bill) may have designed it.
You could only buy them at Mutchler's Hobbies and Hobby Barn up until
about the mid 80's. It may take me a few days to pull it out but I do have
the kit. I'm not sure if I can get the plans copied but I can check into it for
you. Check this thread also
