RE: Wheel/Tire Advice
The Mashers are a lot better quality then the t-maxx tires, the tread is much thicker. Here's a vid of a guy running mashers. Its the truck in the blue. I'm not saying you should run them, thats your choice, I'm saying they are a lot better quality then the Traxxas tires. I've got an idea, take a look [link=http://www.prolineracing.com/c-11-bodies.aspx]here[/link] and look at all the wheel and tire combo's. These are just by pro-line but it should give you a better picture of what each tire looks like. Also take a look [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5800953/mpage_1/key_tire%2Crim%2Cweight%2Cthread/tm.htm]here[/link] for some diffrent combo's and what each weigh.

RE: Wheel/Tire Advice
I've actually already been on the Proline site and looked at them, just looked at them again too. Seems like all the tires recommended in other threads are the pin style or bowtie style tires (which I was told will wear quickly on pavement). I was considering the mashers because logically they just seem like they would work for what I run on. Any chance I could get the weight of straight Zombies and not the beadlocks? A guess is fine. One thing I do know for sure is that I am getting the JConcepts 1/2" offset Rulux wheels.
I am really pretty clueless on the whole tire deal, thanks for all your help and patience NitroVenom.

Well the zombies are pretty light. I can weigh one of my zombies by tommarow for you if you want. I'll also try to weight one of the stock tires also. They are pretty lightweight and not to bad on the sidewall IMO. Any MT size tire is gonna have a large sidewall like that. I have some pics of them with my beadlocks

RE: Wheel/Tire Advice
I too after much research opted to go for the Zombies. I got them used and they had firm foams and I have to say...they are the stuff! They hook up very good on pavement and wear good too. They last good is what i mean. Grass, dirt, sand any kind of surface they grip. On poavement they tend to slide just enough to help with wide open cornering. They are perfect for me. I am not a blip blip kind of driver, I hammer the throttle and hope to make around without slamming something. I ran the Zombies really hard for a few gallons (mostly on pavement) and they still have plenty of treadlife on them. Just be sure to get firm foams and or belt them to keep the balooning down. I will buy another set of Zombies without hesitation when it comes time. I do however want to try some road rages for the street. I am sure they will corner much better due to the firm flat shoulder of the tire. I would go for the Zombies or badlands if ZI were you. I have not tried the badlands but I know motocross tires grip on everything very well. I just don't know how well they would last or perform on oavement. Also the profile of the zombies are not very big. They look mean as heII if yo uask me.
Good luck!

I agree they do look mean, just not sure how they'll look on a racing wheel. I think I will go with those when the time comes though. Do I need to buy stiffer foams or do they come with some?

They come with foams but there tires are kinda soft, So a firm foam will increase handling. A molded foam will do even better. I'm running a set of pro-line molded foams with my zombies and it makes the truck handle 10x's better then any stock foam. Firm foams will make the most out of your tires.
