The hull in the video is a HPR cat hull. They have been around for probably 5 years now. http://www.swissmodelpowerboatteam.ch/

The cat uses a custom gearbox. I remember seeing the build pics for it on one of the european forums and it was beautifully done (I probably have some pictures of it somewhere). Figure it is a $20K plus build as you see it in the video.

Yes - only option for anything near that length as a cat. Exceptional quality.

Theres a guy in Canada who was making copies - I strongly recommend avoiding them if you stumble onto one. Dont even give it a second thought (Dont ask me how I know [:@])

I believe theres a Skater in the US in the 80" range but not from a known manufacturer so no word on quality. Then theres a few options in the 70" range.

You have any esperience with RC turbines? I think that would be where I would start - twin turbines etc will be a lot harder to find, learn, and modify - hull can be sourced or made a lot easier

Hi chaps

I have built an MHZ "No Mercy" using a Wren Turbines MW54 2 stage engine coupled to an MHZ 2.1:1 reduction gearbox, MTC Marl outdrive turning a 72mm prop. I will post some photos shortly, however her is a link to a video i posted on Youtube.

Give Aeromarine Laminates a call. The owner's son, Remmy has one of their larger cats turbine powered. I saw it in his shop a few months ago.
