Make sure the program drivers are all in m8 uninstall it restart pc and reinstall again and see if it sorts it,when u plug the usb in it should pop up by the windows time to say its working ie new device etc.
also check device manager to make sure the drivers are installed properly.

yea i have made sure drivers are correct, even going to the point of finding exactly what drivers are used and finding newer versions for them. this make me wonder, taken from manual "You will be prompted to install the device drivers, they are both unsigned so
select OK and continue.". when i reinstall i verify all traces of software are removed, and cleaning with CCleaner, and registry mechanic, also i put Kaspersky on standby while i do the install to ensure nothing is blocked during install, and after checking logs i verify kaspersky didnt create any conflicts with install. I think at this point im just going to have to call horizon.

Some Anti-Virus programs are preventing the DRIVERS to install, AVG must be stopped for installation.

The other thing that will prevent driver install is NOT installing with Full Administrator Rights, and on VISTA you must use the "run-as" feature and actually use the Administrator account.

hope this helps.

yep still doing it, i uninstalled, rebooted, paused protection, reinstalled, connected, prompted for drivers, allowed to search, unable to find, no green light. going to reboot one more time and see if it goes.
