Default My new radio box

Here are a few pics of my new radio box set up. Last year I had a box that was not see through. I did not see the water that had gotten inside. This year I wanted something that I could see if the electronics are getting wet. I also went to a bell crank. This is a home made setup. I made it out of spare parts. I got rid of the cable system as it did not want to work with my new radio box.

Somebody shopped at Wally-world! I know, I bought one of those to try but haven't used it yet.
I don't see any seals around the linkages though. They might be there but I just can't see them if there are.

Interesting! Yepper! You need some pushrod seals! When your throttle linkage breaks off, you might want to consider using a Speedmaster bellcrank assembly like this. I added a 4-40 pushrod to extend the arm over to the carb. Brian

As Brian said, the brass part is not going to live long, maybe with a support added to the outer end, maybe. Nice box though.

Wal-mart in the Sporting Goods area is where I got mine. It's used for putting cell phones, cameras, keys or other things that you want to keep dry when camping or boating. They go for around $7.00.

Yea, I need some boots for it. I just need the copper tube to last a week at the lake. After I get back I will order a new arm and bellcrank frome some where. I'm also making a rear cover for the boat. I had to stop and rethink what I was doing. I got some great advice from a Mod here on RCU. I'm hoping the cover will help to keep the water out.
