Default Jumping in ele. touring head first...

Hey guys, I've been out of this for about 13 years now, thiers a new touring track opening near me.

being new and no one is really running anything, the place stoccks huge amts of Associated, losi and a few others. just wondering what all i should run...? I think the track will either be on asphalt or smooth concrete. not sure but will be in a ware house or outside. looking more like its inside the warehouse.

I'm trying to spend under a grand, being charger, lipo, brushless, and like a 10.5 motor and a nice radio. nut sure on what the classes will be?

I've come across a few and like these...

TEAM ASSOCIATED - TC5

HOT BODIES - CYCLONE

TEAM XRAY - T2'008

SCHUMACHER - MISSION

ALEX RACING - BARACUDDA R3 / NOVO

TAMIYA - TRF415MSXX / TA05R

ROBOTRONIC - ???

- as long as thiers Carbon fiber, and anodized!!!!!

not sure whats kickin *****, but have always ran with Assoiciated, but was like 13 years ago.

Let me know what you guys recomend!!!

Thanks

Xray is always a good choice. If you go Tamiya go with the TRF416 or TA05ms. The TC5 is good too. Don't know much about the others. Find out your classes and rules before you make any purchasing decisions. It would suck to spend the money and then find out you can't use the stuff.

I will be in NC for a few weeks in July/ August do you have info on the track (what days you race on and what times?) Also do you have pics of the track?

I race a TC5 and it is the perfect car to suit my driving. Also parts are available nearly anywhere and they are relatively cheap Always get what your LHS supports

King:

its carolinasrc.com

Mostly all thats down here is offroad, allthey have is an indoor off road track at the moment, they setup the onroad track here nd there, they're just waiting until they can do something permanent so they can keep it indoors. Said it should be finished aug-sep.

racing is on we. and sat. Its all on the website. great guys. Huge warehouse of parts and i cant wait for the track to be built!!!

I'm not a big fan of Losi, and to boot they haven't won any major races. If they have won a major race i sure cant think of one. In my opinion trust the big 4 in onroad racing:

Tamiya

HPI/Hot Bodies

Team Associated

Team Xray

But if you plan on getting lipo the Losi JRX-S Type-R is the only one that will truly be balanced

To me the centrally mounted battery means nothing. For most cars to make a legal race weight with lipo, they must add weight anyway. I have my HB cyclone almost perfectly balanced and with only about 42 grams of lead. This lead balanced it out and brought it up to legal weight.

The Losi and Team Magic cars with the central mount batteries are a good idea but they are not very practical yet,
