installing stuffing tube HELP
hi guys
i need some tips on installing a prebent stuffing tube into my 41 inch falcon hull
i would like the end of the tube to end fluch with the transom
whats the best way to measure the correct spot on where to drill the hole for the tube to go inside the bottom of the hull

Make it a slot so you have a little up and down adjustment. Have it adjustable from as far down as possible to about 6mm or so up from that. Fill the gap then with rtv silicone.
Also its a good idea to offset it 6mm to the right to offset propwalk.

Mark i think the falcon is a cat hull right ?,best way to mark the hole is mount your motor then use a small piece of rod or similar installed into the flex hex and where the rod meets the bottom of the hull mark it then drill it,you can use just silicone sealant to hold the tube at this point if you wish or you can install another next size up tube (stuffing tube) for your flex tube to slide into and glass it into place ,this is how i did my hydro.If you have a look on the zippkits site theres a manual on the rockett hydro build and it explains how to do it quite well.
