Don't need much. Battery for ez-start, charger, AA batteries and Fuel. I use Byron's 20%, My nephew uses Blue Thunder. Get whatever you can afford. When U break it in do it by the traxxas instructions to the T! Rpm True Track Conversion is a start. Couple extra bulk heads upper and lower a-arms.

I don't get why people start listing hop-ups when he wants the mininum he can get to run the truck.[&:]

The traxxas power plus is supposed to be good stuff, but I haven't used it so I can't tell you how good it really is. I use O'donnells and it is pretty good. I am gonna try the power plus when I am out of O'donnells.

Ok, here is a list of things you only really need to run:
1. 7.2V battery for the EZ start
2.Charger for the 7.2V battery
3.Fuel (duh!)
4.AA batts for the truck and transmitter
5.Extra glow plugs.
6.Fuel bottle

Did you order it or getting it from your local hobby shop? If from the shop, see if they have a package deal on the batt and charger. TRX charger isn't bad, if it will only be used for the 7.2 and possibly a 6.0 hump pack later. Find the highest Mah number that you want to afford. Usually anything above 1800 should be plenty, especially if you are new to the hobby.

i was thinking of ordering it from ultimate hobbies since it is like 30 dollars cheaper. when i put it in my cart and continued through the process of buying it said there was no tax and not shipping fee.

i have that truck and the revo 3.3.. what you will need is what everybody has already mentioned.

the charger i got with my revo is the traxxas one.. it works very well.. they sell for around 29 bucks. plus you need to get the ac adapter too cause it doesnt come with one..[go figure]. thats another 15 bucks.. a 1500 mah battery would work great with the wand. the charger comes with an adpator to charge the truck if you decide to put the hump pack battery in the truck instead of using the 4 double a's.

that is what i did and it seems to have better response. the hump pack cost about 25 bucks. then you also would need to get the wire harness [5 bucks]. it is a real simple process to swap it over. the harness has the on/off switch and a charger jack too. check out towerhobbies.. they have a package deal too,,,[i think].. but the charger they give you with the deal is not a very good one. i ended up sending it back and got store credit.

also get a few [3-4] extra glows plugs.. after break in [5 tanks] it is a good idea to change them needed or not. you might want to think about a wing for it too to help protect the engine from tip overs/crashes. a roll cage would work too but i like the wing better.. they also make a cage that protects mainly the engine which i am going to get.. here is the link,,, this one will not work on the new version tmaxx but search the page and you will find the one that does. jake

well i dont know about a pocket full of money.. i have had my tmaxx for about 3 months now and the only thing i had to replace is 1 a-arm. and that was my fault for crashing it into a cement wall head on.. beer-food is a tmaxx hater and will never have anything good to say about it even though he doesnt own the new one. so you can listen to him or to the many of us that does have one. i think they are very nice trucks. i have the revo 3.3 too and i still am undecided on which one i like the best.

dont let 1 or 2 bashers of the tmaxx change your mind on buying one.. they are well built trucks and the customer support is excellent. jake.
