Default Matching cells via parallel circtuit?

I'm making an 8 cell Tenergy Propel back with side by side config. The batteries came heavily unmatched (4 x 2 each). I was wondering, If I just charge them to 1.25V each and then line them all up in parallel and leave them for a while they should charge/discharge slightly and all end up with the same exact voltage theoretically right?
Anyone done this?

Oops my bad.. matching means pairing up batteries by capacity. Well I'm not rich enough nor have the patience to do that. But you should still match the voltage before you charge all of them right?

In the battery matching , "matched" really means "sorted or arranged" and your stuck with the one pack. The best you can do for a pack is to balance cells by slow chargeing. C/10 charge for 15 hrs after it is assembled.

Wow that's like forever. I have an MRC brain it will stop after a few hours on .5 amp and 70mv drop so it's a pita to do that. I also read somewhere doing that has no advantage, but cycling does (from my own experience too).
So I don't need to match the voltages before I charge them in series?

The amount of charge should be matched before fast chargeing in series. If your going to do a c/10 charge it won't matter because the rate is slow enough that any mismatch will be taken care of by the 15th hour. No amount of cycling will balance cells.

Ok it's one time I guess I'll do it with a wall charger. Thanks
