Default Modifying Proline Hammer tread??

Anyone heard of modding the tread on the Proline Hammers?Has anyone here done it and does it help their crawling ability?Any pics?I have the M2 Hammers on my Ax10 now & really like them, compared to the Rock Lizards.Everyone seems to rave about the Losi Rock Claws though.Until I save enough for another set of skins, maybe I can improve the Hammer's performance a bit. Thanks for any info-Mike

Are the Panthers really the top crawler tire out right now? I've heard they're pretty good, but the Losi's are still the reigning champs. But coming from some one that definately knows a thing or two about crawling ,I'll take your word for it. The lack of sidewall tread kinda made me second guess the Panthers as a capable crawler tire. Thanks for the info Dezfan. I'd still like to improve my Hammers 'till then tho. A fellow crawler said he heard about cutting the lugs or something on an online forum but couldn't remember where.

The Panthers, Claws, and the new Losi Carvers are all very good tires.

The Pro Lines are not far off, and w/ a little tweaking are still in the mix.

Try siping the tread blocks to add more biting edges.

I have Several tires mounted and weighted for different terrians since I crawl/comp on a wide variety of surfaces. And the Panthers seem to be the best all around tire except on river type rock piles. The panters are just too soft and pliable, so when the tire gets caught in an undercut or hole they will actually "pull" deeper into he hole due to traction on top AND bottom of the tire at the same time. The Badlands seem to work the best on the river rock type rock pile and on the decomposing granite we run on @ Texas Canyon here, and the Panters do very well there too but the badlands side hill better there.

The point is there are several great tires on the market with great results on different surfaces, but the Panthers will work on almost all of them well. But, if you have the means to have several sets mounted and ready to go then get them all and learm how and what surfaces to use them on.

Or Not!!
