Default Finally giving in gonna build one help please.

Well I cant ingnore the bug anymore one of our crew has been competing for about a year now and has finally convinced me its time for a crawler. I am not goin to do this fro competion just for fun. I have priced out the basics on building my own from scratch and it came out to almost 345.93 and thats to much. So I have decided to start the build with a wheely king kit. I already have plenty of stock radios and speed controls. I am plannin on buying the novak 55 turn for the motor, but after that I am lost what is the first thing I need to do to get this thing crawlin.

Probably diff locks , axle mounted steer servo. Extra length and low speed should be next.

Ok I have seen some other threads to lengthen the wheelbase using revo turnbuckles or cuttin your own using arrows. I will probably use one of those techniques and I will search the web for difflockers. Thanx for the help.

On the HPI website under Pit Stop, Tips and Tricks, there is a section on the WK. Turning it into a crawler

I would really look into the RTR Axial. It is a much better design and easier to convert to a true crawler. Even includes the equipment needed to lock the front axle in the kit.

X 2. Guys that convert their WK usually end up moving to an Axial.
