Default 1.3ci First Place

I have a 1.3 ci. First Place engine that during a hard landing has had the aluminum extension moved slightly and now the prop is off center as a sesult. How do you get the aluminum extension off of the main shaft? Also has any one ever gotten a reply from First Place when you E-mailed them?

...are you saying that you now have a bent crank? If so, doubt it will be warrantied, give Ralph Cunningham a call, he can straighten it.

No I am saying that the aluminum extension has been moved on the crank and has to be replaced.

Not an expert, but have made some prop hub for conversions. Really having a hard time imagining the hub face going out of alignment on the crank. I would bet on the crank being bent. I would expect the hub to have a machined taper to match that of the crank, possibly a keyway as well. I would put a torch on the hub down near the case and then tap the side of the hub. Like taking the flywheel off the crank. Ralph is an excellent choice to inspect and posssibly straighten the crank.

I think you will find that the engine is an Echo / Kioritz 21 cc. Do a Don't forget Echo search. (mostly on 23.6cc engines)

What is that small dark square on the hub just out from the engine case?

I have two FPE engines and have always gotten excellent service from Kurt, the owner. Why not give him a call and ask him?
