Default hummingbird/dragonfly

I have ditched the cheap/nasty electronics that comes with the ebay dragonfly for seperates.Im finding it hard to fly/hover.
Tomorrow is a big day, Im going to put it all together

GWS 6 channel Pico receiver (didnt have 4 in stock)

GWS 100 ESC for main motor

GWS 50 ESC for tail motor

CSM HLG 200 HH gyro

2s E-tech 1200mah LiPoly flight pack

From reading other posts I realise the the gyro has to be turned on its side, any thing else I should know?
Ihave only a 4 channel non computerised tx.
Is there any thing I should know before putting it all together, for instance I have ahornet 300 motor bare with no (rectifiers/capicitors/not sure what they are called)do I need to solder something on bare motor?Any tips or help most appreciated
This thing has cost me a fortune BUT I do love it.
Im newbie at this but after time on sim I CAN HOVER pals eco 8 comfortably. So Im determined to make the dragon fly.Swash plate mod has been done.
