Copter X 200 Thread
Well I got hold of the new Copter X 200 heli
never knew it will come in a really small box..
The Heli is housed in a long small box 16.5 X 4 X 3 inches
inside this long box are 2 small ones that contain the kit parts.
The smaller box contains the canopy, screws, velcro strap, tie wraps and some double adhesive tape.
the larger box contains the metal parts
The Copter X 200 Main frame is made out of aluminum. The aluminum frame has 2 parts. The upper and lower frame. Both are fastened with aluminum blocks. and are fully anodized with gun black color. The blocks are anodized blue aluminum. The frame is sturdy and thicker than the ones used on the CopterX 450 AE. ( 1.1mm thick to be exact ), similar to the new CopterX 450SE CF V2 frames thickness.
The Cyclic sevos are mounted 120° apart and is directly linked to the swash plate (CCPM).. Kinda reminds me of the HDX design on servo location
The head design is similar to its larger brother.. made smaller... it has a different cage design. but mixing seems to be the identical..
The tail case assembly is also all aluminum.. a smaller version of its big brother.
The pulley is made out of plastic.. and the tail shaft is really thin.. only 2mm diameter wow this should not hit the ground or bye bye tail shaft...
The Belt is directly linked to the main gear similar to the dragonus with a bearing guide to center the belt and aligned to the tail boom.
The Copter X 200 is alittle easy to assemble.. its no different in assembly from its big brother. Head is almost identical setting up the mixing arms and controls will be not of a problem
Looking at this heli with its bigger brother.. you can see how small it is...
its light weight 170g (barebones) and very sturdy structure seems to be a real turn on.
cons:
* well it comes with plastic blades. not sure why CF was not part of it. But ill try to ask if the production class will have CF's or woodies.
* canopy looks strange. It does not resemble its big brother, it looks more like a BELTCP.
* tail rudder servo is mounted on the back of the frame. It seems to share the design of the dragonus on this. I would try to request that they replace the position and make it a tail boom mounted one.
never knew it will come in a really small box..

RE: Copter X 200 Thread
I have tried setting up the heli.. but I think I have to look for really small electrics to get the heli well balanced...
Main gear : 120T
Blade length : 225mm
Main shaft diam : 3mm
tail shaft diam: 2mm
Flybar: 1.5mm
tail boom OD : 10mm
The kit does not come with electrics. You can get the 2400Kv motor.. with the Elf 30A ESC.
lipo battery is only 85g
I tried to hover this little heli.. I think I have to shift the electrics position.. I am a little tail heavy... i Guess the gyro and ESC is really heavy... but I think This heli will be stable once all the parts are set correctly.
I was using the 4200KV motor.. but set the throttle power to only 35% - 50% max.. at hovering its only 30%.. but the head speed is good enough for the heli.. increasing the power is really scary... I think the 2400Kv motor will do fine.. since its running already at 3S unlike the Gaui using 2S lipo packs

Have shifted the parts around.. lipo is placed at the bottom plate. ESC on the top mount.. kinda made the CofG better.. heli seems to fly better too.. best test will be outdoors.. as for indoors heli is stable

Heres my copterx 200 with the new V2 main shaft, also using the tail assembly from the trex 450...Works great. Motor and esc are stock. Using a 1320 thunderpower lipo, larger wider plastic blades, 2100t logitech gyro. Head was levelled using a trex leveller. 4 towerpro 9g's servos.

Looks really nice. I think I want one, is this good for coming out of a 450?
