Does Himoto make a 1/16 nitro truck? Ooops Yep they do!
Does Himoto make a 1/16 nitro truck similar to redcat's tremors???
The reason is I have a used truck that I bought from AllAboutFunHobbies and it had the metal differential gear set in the gearbox.
I need more of these gears to replace the cheap plastic ones in my Redcat tremors.
***EDIT***
I found it. But I also noticed they have the plastic gears too. But this one had metal ones.....
I need more info from Mr. Eddie.

LMAO, see i told you like two years ago that mine came with metal diff gears and everyone argued and said no they don't. LMAO. If they sell those metal diff gears it might make getting some tremors worth while.

lol, i remember
I was thinking, wait until Wade see's this, lol
I checked and dont see those parts but i have reached out to find more information and will let you know.
Do you have any pictures of the small spyder gears, were they metal also?

Those are my trucks. That's the truck I was trying to tell you guys about back then. I remember emailing colin and asking him about them and he said they don't even come with that stuff either, LMAO. No knew anything about it. I hope you find some, because that would make the tremor a decent truck, that's the only problem we realy ever had was the diffs constantly stripping, that's one of the reasons I stopped carrying the 1/16th scales, lol.

Right now, I am using just the metal input shaft and using the plastic diff. I will see how the spider gears and such hold up with my SH12. At least the input shaft won't strip anymore.
Speaking of diffs, I did notice the other tremor(which was a redcat) has some problems with the joint cup gears(86023) meshing with the diff gear. It's looks like they were replaced at some time because they are completely white in color and new looking and the rest of the diff is almond color. If they were replaced, they are defective parts. Which I blame the manufacture, not you. I can see why you got out of the 1/16 scale nitros. But I have no complaints though. There's always a way around the problems. It looks like the pin hole in the center of the joint cup gears are not deep enough to allow them to mesh a little more with the spider gears. Because the spider gears move up, down and all around because the lack of mesh. I will look into finding a cure for that....
Here's a pic of just the ring gear from Redcat's website:

Man you even have the engines cheaper than Redcat. What the hell?!?
Do you still have the (86042) Engine A-5CXP Taiwan B-5CXP Japan engines?
Do you carry any SH .07 engines?

I managed to fix the ring gear meshing problem. I had to mill some plastic off the shoulder of the ring gear. The area is circled in blue. I may go ahead and use some jb weld and lock this diff up.

I have some info about the gears, according to HIMOTO, there are and never were metal gears, lol. I have to look thru the rc room because i can swear i have a metal gear setup that looks like what you posted. what kind of spyder gears were with that setup? Could you take a picture in the diff housing?

i have part 86033 in front of me, looks exactly like your metal one!!!!! When i look it up, comes up as plastic diff assembly. I have to investigate this more.

Ya the part number is plastic and that's what colin told me when I asked him. Was never made with metal gears, LMAO. It was in the truck and it wasn't orginally posi. The shims he was talking about are actually washers I put in there to lock it because the little bearings wore down so fast in teh slipper assembly that it didn't do anything but spin. So I put one washers on either side of the slipper asembly so it would lock it into posi.

Plastic ones come. I already order some back when I first discovered this. I thought they would be metal and since they are the same as the redcats I figured it would be a nice mod for Redcat Tremor owners. However much to my shagrin they were plastic parts when they got here.

And what gets me is that Redcat sells the 'metal' diff ring gear but not the rest of the diff setup. What good would just the ring gear be if you can't get the other parts of the diff?

Ya exactally. You end up with a metal or plastic(I think it's a crap shoot) diff gear and no matter what you end up with plastic pinion gears..
F.Y.I. those 8 holes are for tiny ball bearings, but like I said before they wore out so fast that it wouldn't do anything but spin, so we took them out and put the washers in place of them and made it posi.
