New plane....??
Hey guys, I recently had to retire my little 24" speedwing MKII 250 which i loved dearly after there was a receiver problem mid-flight and i watched as my plane spiralled down at full throttle into the ground and there was nothing i could do about it. I'm thinking whether to get another plane as i already have two others. The electrics are all fine (excluding the receiver of course). I was using a Feigao 130 30T 3150kv brushless motor, CC 9 amp ESC and ive been using a GWS 4x4 prop which pulls around 13 amps at full throttle but the whole set-up has worked brilliantly.
My question is what kind of plane would this combo be good for??.....because i would prefer to not buy a new motor and ESC. So could you guys give me some suggestions for a new plane, anything is ok, ARF, kit etc. Seeing as the motor is quite small a smaller lighter plane would best suit it.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks, Daniel

RE: New plane....??
Any suggestions...or is the question too broad, or possibly too narrow with my power setup limitations.
Thanks, Daniel

Legine -
Is it too late to start up the conversation? Personally I think there are a lot of options out there. It just depends on what you're looking for. Easy to fly? Aerobatic?.....Most of the GWS models (high wings) would work great for what you have. OR even some e-flight park flier kits like the [link=http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/RelatedParts.aspx?ProdID=EFL1900&Category=Completi on%20Guides&SubCategory=Lightweight%20Outrunner%20 Setup]Jenny JN-4 Slow Flyer[/link] would be a great match.
Lemme know what you think!

RE: New plane....??
Well hopefully Daniel comes back.
"I was using a Feigao 130 30T 3150kv brushless motor, CC 9 amp ESC and ive been using a GWS 4x4 prop which pulls around 13 amps at full throttle "
Daniel, something here isn't right. And may be what was the actual cause of your plane's loss, if what you listed was true.
Pulling 13 amps (and you are pulling 13 amps all the time, not just at full throttle) on a 9 amp esc, is just a disaster waiting to happen. Even with a slightly larger burst rating, your set up is still beating the esc to death.
