Default Savage XL won't start

Ok so I finally took out my Savage XL out for the first time since buying it. I had set it up just like the instructions manual stated and when I tried to start it with the roto start it sounded like it wanted to start and turn over but never did. I changed the glow plug and added a new one. I primed the engine even though I had to suck the gas through the tube to get it flowing couldn't do it with covering the exhaust pipe tip and using the roto start. I tried for a half an hour with no luck. I was playing with the high speed needle and riching the engine and still no luck. I had fully charged the glow plug ignitor 2 days ago so it should have been good. The engine sounded like it was about to start but just never turned over. Can someone please help! It was 37 degrees Farenheit outside with a few snow flurries, so it was pretty cold. Thanks!

I had this problem with break in, I used a hairdryer to warm up the engine and that got it going.

A hair dryier works great for getting the nitro engines running in the winter time.

If your at altitude you'll probably need to lean it out. I'm at 6k and needed to lean out my macstar .28 almost a full turn before the car would start and stay running. I'm on the fifth tank of break-in and I'm still leaning it out - it's still way rich and I'm probably 3/4 turn leaner than when I ran the first two tanks at idle at a ridiculously rich setting.

Thanks guys I'm going to try the hair dryer and also try leaning it out more to see if that will get it going.
