They are switchable between Metric and Standard and they are a Pretty Decent Tool......
MORE than Good enough for RC work.......Very Handy for RC, for measuring Bearings, axle shafts, Shims, etc.....

If you have a Harbor Freight near You, then pick up one of these babies!....

It is in the MXB buggy thread........
Tell me what you think of it........
If I get good Feedback, then I will make More Maintenance Videos for Himoto.....

RE: Digital Calipers......for Cheap!
Yep! I purchased one about a year ago at Harbor Freights. Six inches is all you need...... I use them all the time....for my custom rides. I think they also had a 8 inch and an 11 inch?
I'm going tommorrow and get a 4 inch one.
They have a micro lathe I want and it would go good with my micro mill.

I was looking at the digital calipers on the web site and found some 6 inch ones for $9.99. Does anyone know what the difference is between these two? The price is the same.

RE: Digital Calipers......for Cheap!
I bought those Same Plastic Calipers at RCX, last April......for $5.....Thought I was getting a good deal....
However,,,They Suck Ass!....the plastic flexes and the Jaws dont close accurately.....
When you are measuring Clutch Shims and trying to Decide decide if you need 0.1mm, 0.2mm, or 0.3mm, the Plastic Ones just Wont do the Job!
Spend the Extra $10-20 and get a tool that you can Actually USE......
The Everyday Price for the Metal Calipers (at Harbor Freight ) is $29,,,,,,which is still a GREAT deal if you know Anything about Calipers......
The one I use at work is made by Mitutoyo, and cost me $250.....

look very close if not what I have....heck I cant remember what I gave for mine, Ive slept since then....although they arent top of the line calipers they work well....for rc I think they are ideal...but if I was working in a machine shop and making extreamly precise parts I would want a good quaity set....but for the average hobbiest those should be ideal
