Brushed dope finish thread
Just thought I would share if anyone is interested that I am currently posting a thread on the AMA district VII web site [link]http:// forum.amadistrictvii.org[/link] a thread on how to do a competition level brushed dope finish using Brodak Dope. It is drawn from teaching dvd's by Windy Urtnowski but adapted to a brush finish from the spray finish used most commonly in competition stunters. Sometimes you just don't have the conditions to allow a spray finish. My problem this year. It is being done on a nobler and will have photos where they are helpful. To see the photos you have to register on the site but there is no charge and you do not need to be an AMA member. After you have registered scroll down to the control line section. You will find its a pretty active community with a number of threads over 5000 views. You will find the thread in the control line building forum. It will be done as I progress along with the plane so its an ongoing thread.

Bob,
Great idea and I wish you well. The link you provide has an extra space after the // so it will not work. Here is the correct link: [link=http://forum.amadistrictvii.org]AMA District VII[/link]
Also, by the way, I cannot find the brush you recommend at: [link=http://www.joann.com/]Jo-Ann Fabric[/link]

John
Thanks for correcting the link. I'm dissapointed the brush is not available at Jo Ann Fabric stores as a whole. Means it must be from a local supplier to the local store. I'll have to go get more. I bought 3. I checked the Loew cornell web site and could not find it either. But the entire line was not there. Maybe a phone call to someone would find it. Sure hope so. A definate winner.
