Default which one?? ughhh

I just cannot decide which truck I want now. Yes buy both would be a good answer but I can only buy 1 right now and the next one should be a year from now. I am between the newer redcat 1/5th scale monster truck vs the traxxas erevo brushless thats coming out next week. Yes the ey are different trucks and different power but I am not sure about the redcat. I will be jumpnig it and breaking it so does anyone make stronger parts for these things? Any help would be great the more discussion the better. Thanks!

It you want to jump high then the revo is best because the larger scales don't handle really high jumps as well without breaking something.

I would get the revo. They are known for durability.
Happy RCing!

The redcat will be more fun, imo. Big 4wd gas truck vs puny little erevo? It's a no brainer if you ask me. There are many hop ups for the redcat at www.rampagehopups.com .

If you want advice from people who have gas cars, come to the Giant Scale Cars forum http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_234/tt.htm and ask us.

While I'm not a Traxxas fan, I would suggest the Revo over the Redcat. I've heard of a lot of durability issues's with the redcat's and their aren't parts for them at LHS's. You can find Traxxas parts at almost any LHS.

The only 1/5 that's halfway cool is a Baja 5T IMO.. Buggies rarely and bugs never can be cool.. (IMO of course..) And the 1/5's CANNOT jump like the nitros... Don't sound nearly as cool either..

Sounds like what you want is a Losi XXL or Savage XL or MGT 8.0...

I'll vouch for both the MMGT and the MGT 8.0. I've run both trucks quite a bit and they're AWESOME.

1/5's don't sound cool?! Bah! My nitros can't even wake up some of my neighbors.

The Baja 5T/5B is great - but some of the European 1/5 competition models, along with MCD models, are freaking amazing. Unfortunately too much of the 1/5 scale side of the hobby has been taken over by ebay clones of clones of clones of himoto/HSP/Redcat/Exceed stuff

But that doesn't mean there aren't some REALLY high end cars out there. Check out FG's competition line, MCD, Hurrax, Horrman, Contrast, etc.
