omp 47 edge 540 questions
im putting together my first profile plane (omp 47 edge 540) and im not sure im putting the spacers that i ordered from omp in correctly to achieve right thrust could someone post a picture for me so i will be sure ? (2) is the nylon screw all that needs to be tightened to hold the wings in place or do you need to epoxy on the wing edge also? (3) do i need to put the stand out spacers in for the throttle servo (hitec 85) or are they for larger servos only and last, the instructions say to use ca on all the glue joints thru out the assembly wouldnt epoxy be better?

RE: omp 47 edge 540 questions
You do have the option to glue the wings on permanently if you prefer the one piece airplane setup. Advantages are a more solid airframe but disadvantages are you loose teh ability to take apart for transport (if that is a issue) and the modular repairability feature. But yes, the center bolt is the only thing that holds the wings on other than the anti-rotation pins.
The spacers for the throttle servo are used so the servo does not extend through the fuse into the tank size. So yes, use them for the Hitec 85 servo. That's the same setup I do. For the engine offset plated, slice the wedge plate into 3/8" wide wedges on your bandsaw and then use those between the engine and airframe so that the thicker part of the wedge is towards the front of the plane. This will give you the 2.5 degrees right thrust offset. Glue choice is a builder's preference so if you like to use epoxy that will be just fine. Actually epoxy is better than CA which often times is brittle. Most of us are just lazy and use CA!
