There's a huge build/hints thread here, with lots of good info.
As mentioned, the tail does remove, but to get to the vertical hold down-clamp you need to pull the thrust pipe, so not really practical for "every day" dis-assembly. But not too hard to do for occasional transport/shipping.
Great flying plane, I love mine. Pretty tough, too - mine survived a mid-air last weekend with relatively minor damage (though the hit was dead center on the nose, fortunately!).

I think you can actually remove the fin without removing the tailpipe, although it is a bit fiddly! The biggest problem is accessing the screw at the front of the fin, as in your photos. I was thinking of having a screw with a knurled head turned up (like a thumbscrew) that may make removal easier. Obviously you would need to keep wires away from the jet pipe but this can be accommodated with some thought. You have a dealer in the Netherlands who may be able to help you out...

There's no way of removing the vertical inside screw without retrieving back the pipe.
I've removed it on multiple times. One very important thing, is to get those elevator
screws well thightened. This could represent a mishap in flight with the elevators.

Hi Hector,
You can remove the vertical fin by loosing the screw from the side. They might have change the screw setting from the older frame to newer one.
Yes, the screws on the elevators need to be loctited well so it won't come off.

Hi, Mike. What happens is that the vert. fin of my plane is anchored, besides the
lateral screw, another one right in the front area that is screwed by the inside( Difficult task).
I really dont know if the first ones had this.

Hector,
Would you be able to take a picture of the area. I think I know what your talking about but i'd like to verify. That would really help.
Thanks,

Here you go. The front post is held by a screw from inside the fuselage and rigth on top of the tail pipe. I don't think a guy with big hands can remove the fin in a regular basis for all weekend transport with out messing with the tail pipe. Unless you made an access hatch panel for that purpose.

Hi! Orlando. Did you see what Alex(avicom) showed you?
That's the way it comes. By the way, he is the one that
constructed my plane, and now finishing my FeiBao Hawk 120.

Ok, yes I thought that what you guys meant. I was speaking with someone at Florida Jets about that same particular deal.
Reaching inside there with the pipe in the way is almost inpossible. And would yet be too much of a pain to do.
My personal thoughts on this was to install (epoxy) a wood block to come down as far as possible. It would have to be shaped very closley to that particalar area for it to be effective.
The fin would have a threaded bolt and cut to appropriate size. It would be a matter of installing the fin and attaching lock nuts or equivilant hardware. If the block can come down far enough it would be for a rather easy thing of taking your fingers and attaching the nut and using some box wrench to tighten.
It would still call for some work in getting the nut inside but not as bad as having to reach way up inside.
This is the quick fix, i'm trying to put something else together but i'll have to wait till if I can make it to California Jets so I can take measurements on another idea i have. I'll keep you guys posted.

Hey, Banker. You'll love this plane. In the JetLegend thread you can see
my cockpit. It's around the 40-50 post. I ordered it to Camlex, excellent service.
