RCGF, SPE or Zenoah as first gasser ?
Hello all ,
I am a glow engine airplane flier wanting to move on to gassers. I am looking for a 45-50 CC engine, and have the RCGF , SPE and Zenoah brands available.
The RCGF is the cheapest and Zenoah is the most expensive. Which of them would you recommend for me to get and start flying ?
I would go with RCGF, i am just concerned about the quality of this Chinese made engine and the reliablity/longevity this engine would provide.
I am thinking of getting an Extra as my first gas airframe.
Thanks to all for your recommendations.
Gaurav

I'd say go for the RCGF - they are easy to work with, and cheap to buy, cheap to run.
But If its 50cc you are looking for, I'd strongly recommend you buy a DL50.. Look no further.
Get it from hobbycity or Himodel directly. It will out perform every engine you have listed above. (50cc RCGF, 43cc SPE)
Zenoah G62 is powerful but way too heavy (and expensive) for a light aerobatic 2.2m model anyway.

Ok thanks. I will get a DL 50 .
I am planning to get a Peakmodels Edge 2.2 m wingspan
Anyone has experience with this model ? The specs say 40cc-60cc . Would a DL50 be good with it and have enough power for 3D ?
Thanks all.
