Default LRP ESC lipo voltage cutoff question

A quick question, I was running a LRP 5300mah 7.4v lipo with a LRP Brushless Pro Reverse ESC a couple weeks ago in my storm and decided to test the lipo cutoff feature built into the ESC. After a while running my Firestorm was starting to slow down quite a bit and i ran it until my speedo started shutting down because of low voltage. Now as soon as this happened I tested the battery with my multimeter and voltage was reading in around 5.6V...........but the # it was reading was steadily rising, and after a few mins the number was over 6V. Was my initial voltage reading accurate? That caused a bit of a concern and i've only did this once just to test out the low-voltage cutoff. Now I don't know if the lipo cutoff in my esc is faulty or if one should read the battery voltage after a few mins because it rises back up?? Maybe someone that knows more about electricity can enlighten me

Default RE: LRP ESC lipo voltage cutoff question

WOW, i just answered my own question. I was on LRP's forum and discovered (to my dismay) that their 2007 version Sphere Comp TC Spec lipo cutoff is set to 2.8V/cell, which is 5.6V for a 2S lipo. So i'm guessing what i experienced with my ESC is to spec.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD LRP SET THEIR LIPO CUTOFF ON THEIR SPEEDO'S TO 5.6V????????????????????[:@]
