Gyro on aileron servo in an airplane
Has anyone tried using a helicopter gyro on an aileron servo in a plane? I tried it on one plane and it worked really well. Kept the wings level until you wanted to turn or roll. Now I want to try in in a sailplane with two aileron servos. But I want to control the ailerons independently for crow too. Can anyone think of how to do this? Only thing I can come up with is two gyros, one per servo. But this is heavy, never mind expensive.

I can see how this would work, but why would you want to do it? A properly trimmed plane with pretty much fly straight by itself until you make control changes. It would be kind of like driving a sports car on a deserted mountain road with the cruise control engaged, takes all the fun out of doing it.
