Default RE: Stab mechanics..

ORIGINAL: Pete737

I have my ATV to 76%, Thats the best I can get []

Thanks! Pete
Well, finally, after 3 days of nightmare, those are my figures:

Subtrim: Right Elevator: 0
Left Elevator: +35

End Point: Right Elevator: Up: 100%
Down: 100%
Left Elevator: Up: 85%
Down: 105%

AFR (Both Elevators: Up: 94%
Down: 100%

Servo arms: Hole for clevices at 0.5 inches from center. I cutted the excess of arm.

Attanched are some pictures

Note that in the left elevator, I shimed the ball joint with a washer to align the clevis with the servo arm. The allen screw washer is because I need to move the hole a little up for align with the bellcrank hole.

Looking at this setup I would offer a suggestion as well....
Loose the clevice on the servo arm, put a ball joint on there (might have to trim the bulkhead opening a tad) and move the balljoint on the control arm to the outside. This will eliminate the clearance issue and give you a better linkage setup on the servo arm.
Hi:

I cant do what you suggest because with the servo arm shortened and the new hole opnened at 0.5 inches from center, the nut if the ball joint is going to hit the servo body.

And with the servo arm shortened and the clevis hole at 0.5 inches, there is 0 play in the hole mechanism for left elevator.

For right elevator, there is a small play I think I can fix, loosening the elevator arm screws and sliding the bellcrank tight against the plastic washer
