Question about OFNA Starter Box Please HelP
I just got a new Ofna Truggie Starter for my Losi 8ight-t 2.0. I am having some difficulty figuring out exactly how it operates. Does it matter which way the truggie is placed on the starter box? Does it have to face a certain direction? Or does the starter band just have to make contact with the flywheel?

You need to see which side your flywheel access is on the bottom of the chassis. Adjust the starter box flywheel to match your 8ight. There are front and rear guides which you adjust so that your vehicle is lined up with the flywheel and tighten down so you always have good alignment. As for the direction, the front of the truck/buggy should face the hinged opening of the box. Makes it much easier to get the starter box spinning and push down at the rear where the spring is. Is this the blue Ofna box that takes 2 stick packs?

Yes. This is the blue Ofna box. OK. Thanks your explanation makes a huge difference! The instructions for the Ofna Starter Box is that very clear! Another question. How exactly do I use the starter box? I just fuel up my truck, then stick on the glow plug and just push down on the box? I am such a N00b on ths.

That makes 2 of us! I just got the ofna box, going to break in my vspec monday with it. I got it aligned fine with my 8ight though. The bigger peg should face the front, smaller in the rear. Yes, prime it, then push down slightly for 1 second to get the boxes moving, then hit the flywheel. That will help extend starter box motor life.

Word of advice, make sure the flywheel of the car is lined up exactly to the center of the rubber flywheel or it will chew the edges of the rubber off in a hurry. Also, be sure the batteries are totally charged up, the 2 motors suck plenty of juice. Good advice to get it spinning first and really makesure it is spinning fast. Once you get the hang of it, you'll wonder how you ever started a car before. Iused it to break in my SC8 and it spun the motor with such speed that starting was almost instantaneous.

Okay. So just plug up my glow plug starter on top of the engine. Get the rubber flywheel spinning fast then make contact between rc flywheel and starter box spinning thing right? The fuel should push into the engine and start it up? Or do I have to plug up the pipe like when using the roto starter thing.

You will still need to prime the engine before trying to start it on the starter box. I'd put a priming bulb on the fuel line, but yes, you can still just plug the exhaust and spin for a second. Once you're primed, plug in the glow plug ignitor, place the car on the box. Push down just hard enough to get the starter box spinning and then push the car down on to the flywheel. If everything is in order, it should fire right up.
