Default Loctite question

About a month ago I replaced all the screws on my T Maxx with the Tonys Screws kit, I also used blue loctite on all of the screws. I had a wreck today and need to replace the left front a arms and bulkhead. So my question is, when I am puttting the screws back in, do I need to put more Loctite on, or is whhat is already on the screws from last time sufficient?

no man...everytime you take those screws(or ANYscrews) out...you have to clean out the threads and apply fresh LOCTITE...

You have to clean the threads and reapply the loctite. When you apply it, you install the bolt/screw and it hardens like cement to keep it from backing out. By creating a bond between threads, when you pull it out it breaks those bonds, so you would need to clean and reapply, or it would defeat the purpose. =)

I am using a damp rag,and it isnt coming off, I'll try soaking the rag in some paint thinner. I tried a car battery brush but the screws are too small and the brush is too big, I got more blood out of my fingers than I did Loctite off the screws......

unless you are using the loctite for plastic, do not use loctite on plastic parts! regular red and blue loctite breaks down plastic, so it's working against you...

the old loctite will work better than nothing, just put a new little dab on...

I've never cleaned threads, but I always re-apply lock-tite. I don't ordinarily use on plastic.

Yep lock tight damages plasric. If your having problems with screws backing out of plastic then it is best to use a thick ca glue.
