RE: Kit recommendations
TB-02 definitely, if you love building then I find Tamiya kits are the best.
I'm not sure if anyone makes a 1/16 or 1/18 kit though, the AE RC18 R/T/MT is a good choice with good parts support.

RE: Kit recommendations
if you mean 200 dollars for the kit alone, then you should be able to decide between a tb-02 or tb-03, the various sprint 2's, and the hotbodies cyclone, which is the sprints cousin. all three are great for drifting. i would still go for the tb-02
there is a topic for tb-02 resources with over 900 posts.

RE: Kit recommendations
if you're gonna end up buying hop-ups fo the ta05, then just buy the IFS-R or if u feel like spending, the MS.
i bought my ifs-r online for like $230, you just gotta search around in google.

RE: Kit recommendations
I got my TA-05 R for around $160 used on ebay. Still in great shape and saved me some cash.
The IFS is no big deal unless you're using bodies with low front ends.
