Hello all, I'm new to this forum and to the world of Nitro. About a couple months ago I bought a Savage and am loving it, despite a few annoying problems I'm having with it.
Anyways, on to my point of posting. I'd like to get a nitro car to go with it. I was wondering if anyone has any good ideas for a first nitro car. It'll be a while before I can afford it, but I'm trying to start some research on it now.
I want something fast and reliable

Well, I think I want to try a car first, maybe the third will be a stadium truck?
I was also thinking about some of those buggies I've seen out there. I have lots of parking lots around where I live, but not many offroad areas to run.

I got an RS4 RTR 3 but bought all the parts and upgraded it to a type ss...racing engine, two speed,etc...It is wonderful!

wouldnt it have been cheaper just to buy the rs4 ss? instead of the rtr?

HPI Rs4 3 Type SS or the AE Nitro TC3 are excellent beginner cars and can be hopped up for racing duty later on.I have the Type SS and love it also!!!It was my first real r/c car and I've never broken anything on it other than a scratched heat sink.I've upgraded it considerably and am still having a blast with it.

What about the Mugen Prime 12. I found a used one for a pretty good price considering the hop-ups. What do you think?

HPIRS4-3SS: well it my first car and I used it to learn to drive and stuff but then I wanted more performance so I converted it. I got most of the parts new off Ebay for a good price.....
