If your radio is AM then it needs a AM crystal if its FM it needs a FM crystal.

Default AM or FM crystals??

I dont know if one is "better" than the other, one modulates the frequency and the other the amplitude...I dont see why would be better than the other

Default AM or FM crystals??

FM radios only work with FM crystals, If your Radio is AM, FM crystals do not work. You cannot change a system to AM or FM by simply changing crystals.

My lynx 3d is a FM radio, It uses a FM crystal and transmitts to FM recievers with FM crystals.

Default AM or FM crystals??

NICE!!
I like the 3136059231

Good price.

Sure is better than paying 50 bucks for that BS low end Magnum stuff.

HEre are a few facts:

AM= Amplitude Modulation
FM= Frequency Modulation

AM is prone to disturbances caused by nature like nearby electronics.. T storms or anything that can disrupt the amplitude of a wave.

FM is much more resistant (though not free of) such errors in transmission. FM is MUCH more bandwidth compared to AM. A Digital PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) radio system is pretty much as good as it gets.

No, you cannot just change an AM radio to FM!!

IF your given a choice, choose FM, but I dont think its such a big deal. were not pros, and were not serious racers anyway (not most of the target audience of this thread anyway).

Hope that helps!!
