Thats because Nitro is on the way out the door

Or so you think

I'd drop the $700 on three new Reedy 121vr .21 Comp motors, race two of em in my buggy and truggy and save one as a spare!

Until the day that you can run a battery powered race vehicle in a hour long main, nitro is pretty safe.

The reason cd's were able to replace tapes is that they got the price down far enough that anyone could afford a cd player and cd's. If it were still $800 for a CD player, I would still be listening to cassette tapes. Brushless is expensive. A brushless ESC and Motor costs the same or more than a nitro motor, and then you still have to drop $200 in batteries for 1/8 scale if you want to beat the nitro's... Also, I haven't seen any nitro vehichles burn down garages, houses, cars, etc while you are fueling them like lipos can and do. The technology is good, but its got a LONG way to go yet before it becomes mainstream.

No, I think nitro is pretty safe for a long time to come.
