Off Road Gears???
I have a Losi XX CR Kinwald Edition Buggy. I want to know what kind of gearing I would want for it. I do bashing, oval dirt track racing and climb some dirt mountains I have around my house. Right now I have a robinson steel 13 tooth pinion with a pitch of 24. What would go good with it if I want speed? and what would go good if I want tourque? Is there something in the middle that would be good overall? Also, would I want a steel spur gear or a plastic one?

So it must be Kinwald pitch gears??? Those are special gears made by Losi and Trinity. They went over on the hobby as well as a lead balloon.
The only other gears available for 1/10th scale are 48 pitch (most common in 85 % of cars) and 64 pitch (used most often in on road pan cars and touring cars on carpet).

If you want speed then reduce the teeth on the spur or increase the teeth on the pinion.
If you want torque, reduce the teeth on the pinion, or increase the teeth on the spur.
There is no set ratio to go by. Just experiment until you find the gearing that suits your use the best.

You need to experiment.
Buy several gears, they are cheap if you get the plastic ones.
I can't recommend specific gears for your use. I don't have any idea how this car will be run, how hot it gets, etc.
Just follow the guidelines I listed above and you'll be OK.

Off Road Gears???
I got a new pinion and a new spur gear. The pinion has 23 teeth and the spur has 85. Both have a pitch of 48. My buggy is pretty fast now but is still a little hard to handle. How would I fix that?

How do you mean "hard to handle".
You aren't giving ANY info that you can be helped with. The faster the buggy goes the harder it is to drive.
You need to TUNE the car for the surface you are driving on. This means adjusting the caster, camber, toe in, shock springs, shock oils, pistons, sway bars, tires, battery placement, etc.
You need to EXPERIMENT over and over until it handles right for you.
The FIRST thing you need to do is SLOW DOWN. Fast speeds don't mean good lap times. They mean BIG CRASHES.

It only means "BIG CRASHES" if you can't handle it at those speeds.
If you can handle your car then you should be going faster, practicing with higher speeds, harder tracks, different serfaces. You don't slow down until you crash, then you fix it and try again.

You don't know how to tune your car, or even buy gears.
That means you shouldn't be driving as fast as you are driving OBVIOSLY.
Try to help a kid and he bites you head off. If you are going to insult and argue with the very same people you ask advice from then expect to get yelled back at.
