A couple questions:

1) What about aileron throws for perfectly axial rolls? (or do you have to hand fly it out?) Mine are not quite axial with the BV recommended differential.

2) Knife edge - "pulls" like a beast - any tips there? Iremember the "Black Bunny" looked like it was hanging on a rope - straight as an arrow not losing an inch of altitude and it had a distinctive attitude while in a knife edge.

You asked a question on the previous page .... mine is stock ... no smoke system, but I do have the kevlar aux tank BVM supplies in the middle.

Can't help you with the rolls, but for knife edge I do have rudder to aileron mixing to help with rolling tendency, the plane can't be nose heavy and you have to get every bit of rudder throw available ... you also need to be at speed ... and then the plane will do a good knife edge.

Thanks! Knife edge was much better tonight, Buck and Iwent out to explore some of these things. I just wasn't going fast enough for the knife edge..... It was much better at full throttle and using the corner to pick up speed. also better as fuel burned off. Iam just a little nose heavy, can you confirm when balanced how much elev you hold inverted?
I took nearly all the differential out and the rolls are much more axial.
Also, would you mind describing your rudd/ail mix?

I need just a little down pressure when I go inverted. A trick here is to have more down throw that up throw in the elevator, and this helps it feel more "neutral". You have to play with how much more until you find the point that feels best to you.

I simply mix some right aileron with left rudder to mix out the rolling tendency. You can use the gear switch as the mix switch, so the mix is only active with the gear up. One way to set it up is to fly level and apply left rudder. You want enough right aileron to keep the plane flat as it turns. It will be "skidding" in a sense. Repeat for right rudder. You may also need to mix a little rudder to elevator if it also has a tendency to dive or climb with the application of rudder.

Not sure what radio you are using, but many of the newer radios will have this set up as a pre-set mix option from the menu, as it is pretty common. The 12x has it.

I think flames are way overdone all the time , but your Jet is the exception , that is the best looking flame job i have ever seen , and probably the best looking bobcat ever .

Totally agree! Iwould have never sought out this paint job or had it done myself..... it was a total accident really that Ieven ended up with it - but now that Ihave it.........it really grows on you!
