RE: *** Helimax Battery Recall ***
I was at my LHS today with the inention of checking out more batts for my cpv3. It comes with the GPMP0709 11.1v LiPo electrifly which I had planned on buying more of because mine was hooped. He was telling me that he has had about 8 of them returned so far this week. If you plan on buying these batts I would look into the alternatives, or perhaps its just isolated to this store? Maybe they experienced some trauma en route. Has anyone else had any probs with these batteries?

I still think that battery is too small. It only has a 15C discharge rate. 15C of 910 Mah battery is only 13.65 amps supplied. A bigger battery with a higher C rating will be easier on the battery. Zippy 1000 Mah at 20C can easily go to 20 amps. Thunderpower 1320s can easily fit in the space and handle the load. You're just better off all the way around with a larger, newer pack.

Any updates on this since the last post? I am using the GPMP 0709 batteries. They have been working okay so far but one of them does get a bit warmer than I would expect.
