Default Premium PVC Tubing

Hi, I found a lot of transparent and flexible Premium PVC Tubing, can I use that for gasoline line in my airplane with gasoline engine?

Thank you

PVC works fine, is fuel resistant, cheap and readily available

the problem with PVC (nylon) is that it hardens after a while, which is fine for most purposes, but not for a clunk line. I lot of people will tell you not to use it, but I believe it's fine for a vent line or a primer return line (I cheat, I have a primer bulb in my carb) and a vent line for the fuel regulator diaphragm plate, I use tygon for the supply line because it's more rugged and stays flexible. Nylon at $.10-.15 a foot is a lot easier to use a lot of cheaply than Tygon that is around $1.50 a foot, which is why I use it for the less important stuff.

Correction, PVC (POLYVINYLCHLORIDE) is not Nylon. However, is POLYURETHANE (not Nylon or PVC) ok for use with gasoline, glow fuel, or both? Thanks

Put some of the tubing in a sealed container of gas for a week to obtain an accurate answer. I'd rather KNOW from experience rather than THINK based on an answer from someone I don't know.

I agree with you TOM, when I started using the clear stuff from the hardware store I first stuck an inch of it in a medicine bottle and added some gas, after a little time it got hard, but wasn't brittle, I'd definetely advise doing your own tests too, it's good to know
