Is the CG really 8-8.5 inches back from the leading edge of the wing at the root? Not disputing this, but man that is way way back there.
Can someone verify this?

8.5" is absolutely correct. CG calculations are based on many factors most of which have to do with knowing where the center of lift is on the desgin, not just pure geometry. For this design, given the wing sweep and airfoil design, 8.5 is the sweet spot.

Whats the difference between these two planes as far as 3D and overall performance? I plane on getting one of these and will be using a Saito 125 for whichever one I choose. Are the Yaks still coming out tail heavy and requiring alot of nose weight or has there been a fix to this? I currently have the OMP Edge 540 V3, this plane is a blast to fly, but I want something a little bigger and has a thinner wing for flying in moderate wind.

The RY has been described as a "hang onto your a**" type of profile. It is at the top of the charts as far as aggressive agility. Given a real short nose and HUGE tail surfaces it will twist itself around very quickly. It is designed obviously for pure 3D flying. The Fusion is completely different and designed for both precision flying as well as 3D. If you want to mix up the two styles of flying for some freestyle routines then the Fusion is the king of profiles. You can perform any sequence in the book and still fly awesome 3D. Fusion does the best wall I've ever seen bar none. It can kick the tail under the nose so well it actually flys backwards for a second.

I know that normally with any 3D plane or fun fly type plane you don't want to go fast for the sake of avoiding flutter. Is this still true for the Fusion or will this plane do fine with high speed fly-by's?

Ok thanks, does the Razor Yak incorporate the carbon fiber tube that runs through the fuselage like the other OMP planes? Also how much harder will it be to fly the Razor Yak coming from the OMP Edge? Im sort of leaning towards getting the Razor Yak since I want all out 3D performance.

The RY has a 1/2" fiberglass tube that runs through the fuselage. Even though it is slightly heavier we use fiberglass tubes instead of carbon as the fg flexes more instead of fracturing like cf. The RY is not a beginner profile. They are designed to be very aggressive and can twist their tails off quicker than you can blink an eye. The V3 Edge is designed to be more the beginner 3D profile and that's what it was designed to do. It is still very capable and with a hot engine and good servos very responsive but not in the same class as the RY. If you are experienced in 3D then step up to the Proyak (40 size) or RY (70-90 size).

Could you post those pics on the throttle wire routing fix?
Thanks,

Did the throttle servo wiring channel every get incorporated into the Fusions? If I order one today, will I get one with or without the servo wiring channel cut?

RE: New Fusion and ProYak ARFs
Not until the next run of ARFs which probably won't be until next summer. It takes less than 5 minutes to cut a hole through the balsa bracing though. Piece of cake.
