Yes its been done. As long as you are happy with it, then go with it. Build on. Something you can show off that you made it, not something you buy from pro shop then put together.

I think that there is a very large thread in the electric off road section (something like "electric conversions" or something like that for the title.) I think that there were like 50 pages last time I checked and it had a ton of info about electric conversions.

The RC10GT does have a Stealth trans...
Here's some pics of my RC10 Stealth...
For why would you want to build a RC10GT and convert it to elec?
Okay, wrong question!
To each his own.
Here's some pics of my GT's for reference.[8D]
Compared to the RC10 the GT has a laydown Stealth trans.
Maybe many more differences but I just run them both as they are.

It can be done, you may need to add something to the chassis though to make it possible to fit in the battery.... Aaah I got one of those RC10's also.... very fun

RE: Can I electrify my RC 10 GT?
Ha Ha, I used to have an old gold tub car and loved it. I still have my first true love, an Optima. I could still run it but, she sits on a shelf and my old rc10 got lost in a bad deal years ago. I got this GT on a trade but know nothing about Nitro and don't really care to learn. From what I understand from friends, nitro is expensive and with kids and inexperence, I feel the need for a conversion. We have a Optima, XXX, Rustler, Rc10GT and a T-MAXX. So these nitro's don't fit in. I don't know what to do with the Maxx but I don't figure it will be around long, not sure. Thaught about converting it too. Jamie.

Hey that's cool man.
Electrify her up.
What are your plans for the engine and which one is it?
I'm looking for a used AE .12 or if it has a O.S. .12CV... well... one more won't hurt!
Optima eh?[sm=lol.gif][sm=thumbs_up.gif]
I picked this one up with a box of free stuff from my bud that owns the LHS.
He calls me the arcaeologist...always lookin for dinosaur bones.
I walked in one day and he tells me the Smithsonian dropped off a package for me.
I took the trans apart and the grub screw was backed out.

Now that's a beautiful thing. Man to honest with you, I don't even know what I have. I would have to get with my friend and ask him. Sad, I know, but it's the truth. I am leaving town for work tomorrow but when I get back in I will try to get with him and start putting together a list. I may have to put it all under his name since I don't have any feedback on here. Sad again, I don't know his username but I will get things all figured out.

What is that Slayer?
What is that Slayer?
Some guy left a box of stuff at the LHS and never came back to claim it for a couple years so he gave it to me.
All that was wrong with it was a grub screw in the trans.
I still need to lose the mechanical speed controler and stuff a batt and ESC in there and get some runs on vid.
Here's the manual if you want to check out how it's built and works.

If you could post a couple pics when you have time I could probably figure out what you have.
Hit me with a PM if you want to let the engine go cheap instead of listing it.

Can I take that Optima off of your hands? lol. Throw in some crazy brushless system on 4S though and it should fly...Or disintegrate.
