My jet addiction all started back in 1981 and with a Byron F-16, OS 61V powered then soon followed a Byron Mig-15 Picco 80 powered and then a Kyosho Tommycat with a K&B 21 etc etc..... My first turbine model was a JG-100 powered AD F-16 in 1999.

My first jet was a Skymaster F-15. A week later got a Tango.

Between the two of them I logged over 900 flights on the pair before I sold them.

What a great couple of starter jets...they really taught me a lot about R/C Turbine Operations.

My first jet was a Philip Avonds F-15. AMT Mercury powered. I flew the living daylights out of this model for 5 hard display seasons and still have it. I have it hung from one of my stores ceilings and apart from a needing a new canopy its pretty much ready to go. I am going to keep it till my son is ready to fly and that will be his first jet.
I loved that combo so much that after that I tried long and hard to find one as good. A few planes later, and I am still trying

My # 1 was an EAGLE V built from RCM plans and used a WREN MW54 turbine. It flew quite well and was easy to land.
My #2 was a C-ARF FLASH that flew better but had issues breaking the pins in the Landing Gears. That was solved by switching to trailing link landing gears. This plane used a WREN SuperSport
After those, I switched to the BOOMERANG line since I can only fly from grass and these planes excel at that and I have a C-ARF HAWK that just flies great. I generally fly jets that are not excessively heavy and that have capable landing gears. I use WREN and SIMJET turbines since those start easily, are quite fuel efficient and have a great support network here in the states

WOW very good performance with a glow setup... I have seen one of these with a VIOFAN it it, I don't know how fast it was ( very) but the vertical climb was awsome...

My first jet was LGM's old Reaction 54.

Flew the wings off of it for one season and sold it to move on. This jet stuff is one hell of a slippery slope....

My first Jet was a Reaction 54 initially powered by a P60 and later a P70
(That was before it tried to take on a Chevy Silverado at 180 odd MPH. Not so much as a scratch on the truck but totally destroyed the plane. LOL)

Wow George that's some pretty impressive numbers "199" I am flying the II composite one but i'm not going to get much better than the 170 at our elevation. But it
just shows that there is some pretty good performance from the "old school" stuff out there. It still hard to match the sound and smell of my turbine but i can fly
the D/F at any of our flying fields without any rule breaking :-)

My Kyosho F86, with 219 flights on it before the pull start string broke Now retired to hanging in the garage. Hours and hours of fun with this plane with a thrust tube and holes cut into the bottom.
