MHZ Hull and Parts...
Hey Everyone,
I've had my boats is storage for a few years and decided to start playing with them again. I need some help. Does anyone know what the website was for MHZ hulls and parts. I have an MHZ Cat and need to order the fiberclass scoop that goes on the top hatch. It's the Drambuie on Ice cat. My laptop crashed and I lost all my favorites on IE. Any help?
Thanks

Try this one. Stay away from Dr. Loo in your area (MHZ importer for the US). I'd rather order from Germany direct & pay a little extra than pad his pockets.

I have been looking at this one, http://206.206.85.209/xtdoc/default.aspx?store=mhzusa but that might be Dr. Loo

Funny as we're not supposed to dis people in the forums but but Dr. Loo Yap seems to be an exception to the rules! He's not the doctor in the sense of "it hurts when I do this" but one of thermoplastic engineering or something like that. When I was a Mod here I got some "fan mail" from him as he is a member but I found out also that he had multiple screen names which is a no-no. He would pop in here to do a search for MH$ (replace the $ with a Z).
Good luck in getting your scoop. Word is that the lay-up is inconsistant.

You could also try George at Hobby Depot - http://www.hobbydepot.com.au as he is an MHZ dealer. You will get your stuff a lot cheaper and quicker than buying through the US dealer

RE: MHZ Hull and Parts...
Could so one tell me what is wrong with ordering from the MHZusa?
Is there a problem with receiving your products, service or?
MHZ Germany doesnt think there is a problem at all.

Gee, who Matt?
Wetsleeves, do a search in this forum on either MHZ, MHZ-USA or MH$ and you'll probably come up with a number of threads featuring him and see why there is a general dislike for him and the way that he does business. It's not the products themselves but the person who sells them here in the USA that members have the most problems with.

If you overlook the rediculous shipping rates ($30 for an envelope in some cases). Rediculous price increases (even the sold used GTX went up in price after being sold during the last 30% increase). Really bad excuses for shipping delays (one order took SIX MONTHS to complete - for stock products). Misrepresenting himself as different people around the country to many respected members of the RC community. Really poor product knowledge. Really unprofessional conduct. There is not much wrong with Dr Who.
I have more MHZ stuff than most - and I will NEVER deal with the current US dealer.
I believe MHZ Germany only asks MH$usa if there are any problems. I know I have sent several e-mails addressed to Ernest over the years. He is certainly missing a lot of potential business due to this clown.
He has worked hard for the reputation for having the best products and the worst service.
Being that your in Sydney I do not know why you would waste your time and money paying more for the same products you can get from the Australian distributor (some products are 30% or more - less last time I checked against the US distributors prices). Support your local dealer and he will continue to support the local modellers.

RE: MHZ Hull and Parts...
Im looking at getting 2 turbines and the USA dealer seems to be the cheapest around. $300 dollars a turbine cheaper than Jetcat USA.
I emailed the Australian distributor for jetcat an he wanted $7000 a turbine, know thats an increase.
Its cheaper for me to buy the turbines from the USA than to buy the turbines from europe.
Hmmmmm I might speak to George and see how much he can get them for.

MHZusa have them for $4495 each and Jetcat USA was approx $300 dollars dearer. When looking in europe and converting our dollar ($ozzy) to euro its dearer again. The cheapest I have found to be is the USA.

$9000 and you are worried about 600? Its going cost you the difference in aggravation dealing with m- h- $... u-s -a. Buy from anyone else.
I would inquire about buying direct from the manufacturer.

Spoken to the manufacturer and like I said the US are still the cheapest. You might say that Im worried about $600, but $600 is $600. Better in my pocket than someone else.

I don't know for sure where Tom Borisch got his at but he only paid $4,500.00 a pop for his two geared marine turbines. I think that he's going to drop them in his 72" Cat when he starts laying them up.
Dont you just love the word "only" when it's followed by $4,500.00?

I would get a shipping quote in writing from mh$usa before commiting to buy.
