RE: first paint job
i did this using duplicolor rattle can ( which i was VERY sceptical of ) and then cleared it with duplicolor's "paint shop" clear with metallic in it. This is a pre-mixed clear that you just put into a sprayer and shoot...no thinning. I think it turned out excellent!
EVEN MY WIFE LIKES IT!!!! ( that is odd )

Came out nice - only challenge with that color - it is going to be hard to see when she stops in the middle of the pond. Ok if your on your own but if there are others running it may be a problem.
Keep the pics coming - very nice work for a rattle can (or spray gun for that matter)

RE: first paint job
The color is not a problem to see as long as you are running the roost will be visible enough for reference. Actually if you are looking at the boat while its running you aren't driving correctly anyway, look to where you want the boat to go, not look at it.
The big issue with a color like that is if its painted that color on the bottom, flips over, other drivers with boats on the water won't seee it and hit it.

RE: first paint job
Scott, it really looks good. You get a chance to head out this way, I'd appreciate it if you'd show me some tricks. Too the point now that I'm debating vinyl stick on.
