RE: 50 inch mono prop opinions
I watched all your vidoes and all the viperhulls videos, i feel i made the right choice on the 50 inch apache i realky like the look of them.
i whent camping a couple of weeks ago in the spot i recomended to you, had a good weekend and got to run the bonzi with there race pipe an was able to run good constant speeds out of the boat.
i managed to loose the hatch and chip a chunk of gell coat of the hull slipping over while carring the boat to the waters edge, i still drove the boat after this, and i found it was faster with out the hatch and run cooler but i had to run it full herbs for 5 mins befor it would warm up and start to move out.
the only think i idnt like was with out the hatch if i flipped it going over waves when it landed upside down it did skipp across the water it just stoped dead in its tracks lols.
i sent all my engine and hard wear off yesterday to tony to have a look at and see what he can do with the apache hull so im looking forward to see the out look.
not sure if i made the right choice to dump the clutch and water pump, but i thought ill make this as simple as i can and dump some blingy stuff of the boat aswell.
i realy liked the bonzi boat it was well made very good looking and it worked well, but it will be chopped up now and turned into a jet :-)
