Mx450Sx Battery upgarde
Hi All,
Just getting back to the heli scene, and tried to purchase a new battery so I can extend my practice time, but found the battery that came with the MX450SX ARF is discontinued.
Here is what I'm using now: Great Planes LiPo 3S 11.1V 2100mAh 18C Discharge
What is a suitable substitute for this battery? Should I get the same mAh, or should I get a higher mAh for increased flying time? What's the weight/flight time trade off?
Thanks in advance!

Generally about a 2100mAh 3S pack will work, since they're mostly a similar size, but you should look at the physical measurements of a pack you're considering to be sure the new one will physically fit. A 20C pack will be sufficient, but higher current specs won't hurt anything.
Increasing the capacity may get you moderately longer flights, but likely not much, and larger packs may have difficulty fitting in the frame. You still need to be careful of the dimensions.

In my Axe 400 I use a MegaPower 11.1v 20C 2100 mAh battery. You can find it at: http://www.helidirect.com/mega-power...lue-p-2145.hdx
I've been using MegaPower batteries for quite some time now, and they work great.
I'm thinking of upgrading to a Rhino 25C 2250 mAh battery. You can find it at: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/s...0;
I've never used that brand though, so I can't vouch for it.
If you want to stick to Great Planes, then just find a 20C or 25C battery like this one: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...LXTVE3&P=V
Although, that one is a bit too expensive for the type of battery, I think anyways.
Shop around; see what you like.
P.S.: I would definitely go with a higher mAh. Just pay attention to the weight of the battery.
