Losi 10 T Truggy break in....
So Im now getting back into this with having a 10yr. break. I am about to start up the truggy for the first time and after reading the manual about break in procedure, it says minimal to none? Now that just dosent make sense. What is the best way to get optimal performance and life out of this motor? ive read acuple of break in cycles for race engines to run 2-3 min and shut off 9 times. Then 3-4 min. 7 times. AND then to make sure piston is at BDC. Now how do you accomplish that? How long do you let the motor cool down for?And is that best practice for this engine? Anyone got any knowledgeable ideas. This thing is so mean looking and built like a brick house!!
Just stripped the stickers and painted the wheels black, will post pics as soon as I can.

Hea pjh...That's the way u should do it (heat cycle). put a dot with a marker on the fly wheel and the bottom of the chassis so when the two
dot line up it mean the piston is at bdc. first take the plug out and put it at bdc, then mark it. The heat cycle way works great. and let it cool all the way down.
also wrap the head with foil to keep the heat in and up to 200-220. don't lean it out to get the temp up but it's ok to lean it a bit so it's not just
spitting out alot of fuel. I have notes on heat cycling if u need. good luck.

I prefer to just run it easy for several tanks gradually leaning it out and giving more throttle as you go until you get to where you are making short bursts of full throttle passes.
Post some pictures up though! I really like the looks of the ten t

I would appreciate it . If you could, Iwould like to break this in right.. why would Losi claim to not have to break it in and it be as bad a** as they say.

I dont know why they would claim that, but just break it in normal. All nitro engines need to be properly broken in, so just ignore the manual and do it right
