Default HPI Datsun 240Z Cup Racer or DF-03Ra Datsun 240Z?

Well itching for another kit build...

HPICup Racer 240ZDatsun (Can find anywhere)
$210

Tamiya DF-03Ra 240ZDatsun Rally(Must order off E-bay)
$280

I already have a DF-03Ra but what do you all think about the Cup Racer? It takes stick packs which I have ample supply on and LiPO and it can take a 540 size motor...seems quite tuneable as well don't know about parts support though.

I plan on mostly on-road driving but I like the fact that you can take the DF-03Ra on gravel and dirt roads but since Ialready have one maybe the Cup Racer wouldn't be a bad idea?

Also I like how the Cup Racer is smaller so I can drive it inside my house. My DF-03Ra I have to drive it outside....anyone build a Cup Racer yet?

ouch, $280 is just plain stupid, Champ RC is at 12800 yen

English ordering info

http://translate.googleusercontent.c...QCba7sdA82ZkzA

12800 yen is $142.77

the shipping is the excellent EMS (japan to iowa 4 days) so you will pay $30-45 dependin on the kit size and weight but thats still a savings of over $100, check them out, I have never had one lick of trouble with them. They also stock Square, Tobee Craft Racing, Five Stars, Zenon and several other hop up companies we can't see to get in the US except on a limited ebay basis from ex pats living in Japan.

There is a Cup Racer thread here. I have one and love it! One of the best kits to build for the price it is very solid and I say this over and over but to me the quality feels comparable to an Associated Factory Team kit. Besides why would you want two of the same cars?

True that Casper06,

Looking to get the Cup Racer just wondering since it is a new car on the market. So I assume it uses a standard servo and can accept 6 cell stick packs right?

From the research I have found it seems like a 1/10 car...what motor/esc setup do you have in your Cup Racer?

Might have to sell off a bunch of my other cars/trucks. I think I have too many. Haha.
