Default Glow Plug

Hi, as I know that if we run the engine too lean and this will cause the glow plug 'damage' more fast, how about if we run too rich?? Normally with bodyshell, the temp should go to how high?? max 120 degree C??
That day i try to change OS#8 to Nova#6 plug, I need to increase
the ideling needle, is this normal?? It can ideling for around 10 second than die but for OS#8, it can ideling for wthw whole tank. If the engine can't start, what should we check first, second and etc.

Thanks.

Glow plug damage is the last thing you need to be worried about.

What kind of engine are you running?

For a .12 an MC8 sounds about right for 20% nitro.

Please post more information on your engine and fuel

Hi I'm new here. I run a Serpent 705/RB combination

Back in my club, most pilots run Serpents with RB or JP engines. More common fuel used is Tornado. However, local sellers often introduce new fuels when they become available. Some hobby players like to try new things.

Have any of you heard or tried Runner Time Fuel? It's the new fuel M. Salven tried very recently. Appears to have very impressive run time.

See the links:

Racer : Michael Salven (NL) Runner Time Fuel (Champ)

Racer : Robby De Veirman (Belgium) Gammalube Fuel (TQ)

See picture:
Serpent/RB/JP/Tornado/Gammalube (spot them all?)

Have fun..

Maybe next weekend, I will drive up Costa Mesa (AE) and see if I can bump into Barry Baker. I'll enjoy my 8 months here.
